Hi Everyone here is your weekly waterlog.
1. DDO This weekend.
Car pools needed If you are swimming at the meet this weekend and can drive or need a lift please meet at the YMCA at 7:20am with a depature time of 7:30am.
The meet is taking place at: Centre civique de DDO, 12001 de Salaberry, Dollard des Ormeaux Warm ups start at 8:00am The meet starts a 9:00am And here is how to get there
2. There is a BIG PARTY in Quebec this April!!!!!! From April 20-22 there is a big party that all the members are invited to.
You can swim or volunteer but WE NEED YOU!!! This amazing event is the 2007 Provincials.
So if you want to swim you have until April 4th but we could always use a cheering section or some extra help on deck.
Can joy the fun in Quebec!!!!!

Attached is a note from one of our fellow swimmers, Victoria Wonnacott, inviting the members of the club to her vernissage on Saturday, March 24th, 2007 – 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
L’exhibition est intitulée “The Narrative in Art” située à la Galerie D’art St-Ambroise; je vous réfère au document attaché pour tous les détails.
As Victoria mentions in her attached invitation, a lot of the paintings are of swimmers!

1. We are Number 2 in the Country!!
According to the latest update on Christian Berger’s Masters web site, http://www3.sympatico.ca/chberger/, we are the second overall team in the nation! We are behind Point-Claire. This is based on meet from Jan. 1, 2007 to Mar. 6, 2007.

3. Accomodations for Provincials
Thanks to Kristina for arranging hotels for Provinicals, below is the email she sent last week.
I have arranged for a corporate/group rate at the following hotel:

It is very close the pool.
Unfortunately the double bedroom rooms with kitchen are under construction,
but here is what can be offered to us:
For those of you who like to be surrounded by your posse:
2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed, 1 with 2 double beds) and fridge $129 +tax
Planning on bringing the family?:
1 bedroom w/queen bed, sofa bed and kitchenette $119 + tax
Great for sharing with a fellow swimmer:
Regular rooms include 2 double beds, fridge, microwave and coffee machine.
$89 + tax
A block of rooms has been set aside for us. Please organize amongst each
other if you would like to share a room with a fellow swimmer! Also, please
get back to me and let me know if you are interested so that I can make sure
we have enough rooms reserved.
There are also the following hotels near and around the area; rates that
were available on Expedia are below.
Best Western-Aristocrate $119.00 per night-3100 Chemin St-Louis
Days inn Quebec west $76.00 (not the nicest establishment, but for those on
a tight budget) 2 star
Gouverneur Quebec (right near the Classique) $95.00-3030 Laurier blvd
Hotel Sepia $112.00, stayed here for St-Foy, ok, but not worth the $$
Germain Des pres Hotel- No info
Clarion Hotel-says rooms MAY be available-no $$ info on-line- 2 1/2 star
