February Meets: St-Lambert, Lasalle, Nepean

It’s raining meets in February!

Sat Feb 13 – St-Lambert (not sanctioned yet so events, time of day etc not yet finalised. Expect 50, 100 and 200m swims.) Will share details when I have them.

Sat Feb 20 (afternoon) AND Sun Feb 21 (morning) Lasalle (meet not even listed but the meet organizers just told me it is on. Normally have races up to 400m.) Will share details when I have them.

DATE CHANGE Sun Feb 28 – Nepean (Ottawa) 50m meet. Swim a 50m with no need to worry about the turn! INCLUDES AN 800 AND THERE ARE SPOTS LEFT as of today. (For those of you who want to know, I am definitely going and will swim the 800.) Flat rate entries of $37, max 4 events. Early bird registration by January 29 is $5 off. Email me ASAP, especially if you want to swim the 800. I will do online entries for the whole team.

Bonjour les champions et les championnes!

Il y a des compétitions à la tonne en février:

samedi 13 Feb – St-Lambert (pas encore apprové par le FNQ, donc on attend les détails des épreuves, l’horaire etc. Nous attendons des courses de 50, 100 and 200m.) Je vais tout vous dire quand j’aurai les détails.

samedi le 20 février (après-midi) ET dimanche le 21 février (matin) à Lasalle. La compétition n’apparait pas sur la liste des événements de SNC, mais le club m’a dit que ça va se passer. Normalement il y a des courses jusqu’a 400m. Je vais tout vous dire quand j’aurai les détails.

CHANGEMENT DE DATE dimanche le 28 février – NEPEAN dans un basin de 50m! Nage un 50m sans souci pour le virage. IL Y AURA UN 800M ET IL RESTE DES PLACES! (Pour ceux et celles qui s’interessent, oui, moi j’y vais et je nagerai le 800m.) Un seul prix d’insciption: $37, nage jusqu’a 4 épreuves. Escompte de $5 avant le 29 janvier. Envoyez-moi un courriel le plus vite que possible, surtout si vous voulez nager le 800m. Je ferai les inscriptions pour l’équipe au complet.

Go the Distance for HAITI

Support the Provincial Champions, Westmount Y Masters Swim Team as they challenge themselves
in an effort to inspire the community into action to help the Haitian people following the earthquake.
Swimmers are collecting pledges to encourage them to Go the Distance for Haiti January 26 and 27,
raising funds for the Canadian Red Cross (Quebec Division, allocation: Haiti Earthquake.)

In a single training session, each team member will swim the longest race distance for each of the
competitive masters events (events listed below*.) Note: this is no easy task, and will push some
team members as they have never been pushed before.
